Orgue Poirot Frères de 72 touches de la collection Henri Krijnen, Pays Bas.

I believe that this organ was in the Poirot workshop when it closed and later went to a collector in Belgium.
This organ could have come through Alain Vian who may have got it when he cleared the Poirot workshop out. It is supposed to have been made to play in the ballroom of a chateau - certainly the music is suitable for dancing to. The sound has a nice, warm sound with good clarinets and piccolos. The owner in Belgium was a certain Labarre.
Later it was acquired by Henri Krijnen and completely overhauled by ourselves, AC Pilmer Automatic Music Ltd.
The pipes in the organ were painted when it came to us for restoration. This paint was old and cracked, so we re-painted the pipes after they had been repaired. The colour is actually a shade of cream. The original colour was white, but this was too cold so we decided on a slightly warmer shade.
